I attended the University of Oregon, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Romance Languages with a minor in Mathematics. Romance Language majors are obligated to pick a primary department and a secondary one. I chose Spanish for my primary language and French as my secondary. I traveled to many Spanish-speaking locations, where my love of the language deepened. I have visited Costa Rica, Mexico, Cuba, and Spain. I am now going back to school, working toward my master's degree in Library and Information Science. My goal is to become a librarian in youth services. I enjoy reading, and would like to help young children learn to read and enjoy literature as much as I do.I have extensive experience as a tutor, and have tutored students in difficult math courses through the Math Library at my college. I helped other students with Trigonometry, Calculus, and Algebra. I have also worked with students at the high school level, offering them basic assistance with Math and English. My goal as a tutor is to help students become confident in a subject. I teach them the material and then let them solve the problems on their own. This helps build strong problem-solving skills.In my spare time, I enjoy reading, Jiu Jitsu, and spending time around animals.
